On February 25, the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Procedure, in collaboration with the Academic and Research Institute of Law, hosted a large-scale Career Day, serving as a roadmap for future applicants into the world of justice.
The primary focus of the event was the practical side of law enforcement and the vital role of legal professionals within the criminal justice system. Future students met with industry leaders who uphold the rule of law daily:

Olena Lutsyk (Prosecutor’s Office) and Serhii Tiutchenko (Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region) revealed the intricacies of working as investigators and prosecutors, emphasizing the high-level professional training provided by our Department.

Hennadii Hrytsyk (Advocacy) shared his extensive experience in protecting citizens’ rights within criminal proceedings.
Special attention was given to the “Law Enforcement” (K9) major. Prospective students learned about the advantages of this program, including internship opportunities within National Police units and career prospects in various law enforcement agencies.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation by Mykhailo Dumchykov, Associate Professor of our Department and PhD in Law. Serving as the Secretary of the Selection Committee of the Institute, Mykhailo Oleksandrovych provided a detailed explanation of the 2026 admission campaign, focusing on:
