Dear Colleagues and Specialists in the Field of Jurisprudence!
Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is organizing an International Round Table dedicated to war crimes in hybrid conflicts, including cyberattacks and manipulations of virtual assets. The event will take place online on April 23, 2026, promoting the digitalization of the educational process.
Argumentation of Relevance
- Scientific Provisions: War crimes (Rome Statute, Art. 8) encompass cyber operations that violate international humanitarian law, incorporating elements of personal data protection (GDPR, Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”).
- Analysis and Generalizations: Author’s Perspective: The legal vacuum in regulating cyber warfare exacerbates corruption risks in anti-corruption policy, necessitating the adaptation of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Arts. 437–439) to digital threats.
- Scientific Novelty: An interdisciplinary approach integrates criminal law with cybersecurity, forming doctrines for sustainable development (UN SDG 16).
Conclusions and Call to Action
The event will generate solutions for countering crimes in the digital environment. We invite participation for fruitful discussions!
