Head of the department, doctor of legal sciences.
Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Judiciary. The department is a part of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law of the Sumy State and carries out the training of specialists at the bachelor’s and master’s educational and qualification levels.
The main task of the department is the training of qualified specialists who have leadership and high moral qualities, are competitive in the labor market, effectively interact in the professional, corporate and social environment, who have social mobility and are in constant demand from employers.
To implement the task:
- the operation of the specialties “Legal Science”, “Intellectual Property” is openly and organizationally and methodically ensured;
- the teaching staff of the department includes doctors and candidates of legal sciences, graduates of leading universities of Ukraine and the best graduates of Sumy State University;
- established and configured contacts with the union of employers and entrepreneurs, as well as with judicial and law enforcement agencies for employment of graduates of the department;
- a program of passing industrial practice on referrals in the administration of justice, penitentiary service, state authorities, executive service, judicial administration, law enforcement agencies, enterprises and institutions was introduced;
- students have the opportunity to obtain the rank of reserve officer at the military department of Sumy State University.
