On February 24–26, 2026, the Head of the Department of Criminal law and Procedure Department, Olha Maletova, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal law and Procedure Department, Kateryna Yanishevska, and Assistant of the Department of Criminal law and Procedure Department, Yevheniia Lytvynenko, took part in the Winter School on “Contemporary Challenges in the Protection of Children’s Rights,” which was held at the University of Szczecin (Poland).
During the three-day event, participants had the opportunity to join discussions with leading experts in the field of international and constitutional law. The key topics included the protection of children’s rights in armed conflicts, children’s rights in the digital environment, sharenting as a challenge to the international protection of the right to privacy, the legal status of rainbow families, and the activities of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.
Participation in such international events contributes to enhancing the professional level of the department’s academic staff and the development of international academic cooperation.
