From October 16 to 18, 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, Marina Utkina, took part in the II International Congress on Sustainable Social Development, held in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Marina Utkina was one of the keynote speakers, presenting her research findings in a paper titled “The Use of Financial Monitoring to Achieve SDG 16: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Global Governance and Sustainable Development.”
Ruslana DEGTYAR, teacher-intern of the department, successfully graduated from the Spring School “European technology transfer for Ukrainian universities” (European technology transfer for Ukrainian universities, UniTECH). The event was held within the framework of the Jean Monnet project “European technology transfer for Ukrainian universities” UniTECH under the JEAN-MONNET CHAIRS program.
Kyiv, 3rd April 2024 – Lecturer-trainee Yevheniia Vasylivna Lytvynenko took an active part in a workshop organised to support the TISC network members. The workshop focused on a crucial topic: “Q&A: WIPO’s Specialised Patent Databases, a list of main educational materials for databases, WIPO patent landscapes, and guidelines for their development.”
From March 2nd to March 3rd, Darina Shokorova, a diligent student of the Intellectual Property educational program, participated in the XIV Intellectual Property Law School.

From November 7 to 23, 2023, teacher-trainee of the Criminal Law and Procedure Department, Ruslana DEGTYAR, attended a series of online professional development events on the topic “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Education”. This initiative was implemented by the Expert Committee on the Development of Artificial Intelligence under the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the NGO “Progresilni”.
Співробітник кафедри КПДС, Руслана ДЕГТЯР та Євгенія ЛИТВИНЕНКО, взяли участь у ІІ Національному форумі з інтелектуальної власності та інновацій «IP LET FORUM», який відбувся 1-2 грудня.
Захід, зібрав учасників з представників влади, міжнародної спільноти, експертів у галузі інтелектуальної власності, правознавців, економістів, підприємців та творчих індустрій. Форум проведено з метою обміну ідеями та розроблення стратегій розвитку сфери інтелектуальної власності з метою досягнення перемог та сприяння інноваційному зростанню України.
Серед спікерів форуму:представники Верховної Ради України, Міністерства економіки, Міністерства оборони, Міністерства стратегічних галузей промисловості, Ради національної безпеки і оборони, судді Верховного Суду, правоохоронних органів, експертів з інтелектуальної власності, науковців та представників бізнесу.
During his internship at the University of Tours (France), LL.D., associate professor of the CPDS Department, A.V. Goncharova. acted as the organizer of the international scientific and practical conference “Notarial practice, news of international law: Ukrainian experience”, which took place on January 6, 2023. Notaries and scientists of Ukraine and France were involved in the participation. Actual issues of registration of inheritance with a foreign element, property rights of spouses, problems of protection against cyberattacks of notary registers were considered. The participants of the international conference exchanged experiences and formulated practical advice for solving problematic issues.

Ruslana, a post-graduate student of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of DEGTYAR, completed a virtual international academic mobility course on the topic “Design of the Qualitative Research for Grant-Funded Project” (Prague, Czech Republic).
The course was aimed at obtaining important and necessary practical skills for writing applications for grant funding for their research, understanding the structure and types of research for which grant funding can be sought.
The project “Enhancement of the PH.D. students potential for qualitative research in Ukraine” is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The project was initiated by the Czech University of Natural Sciences in Prague (Czech Republic) and Sumy State University in a consortium with 4 other Ukrainian universities: Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, Sumy National Agrarian University, Polis National University and Chernihiv Polytechnic. National University named after
