Kyiv, 3rd April 2024 – Lecturer-trainee Yevheniia Vasylivna Lytvynenko took an active part in a workshop organised to support the TISC network members. The workshop focused on a crucial topic: “Q&A: WIPO’s Specialised Patent Databases, a list of main educational materials for databases, WIPO patent landscapes, and guidelines for their development.”
During this event, a fruitful discussion with TISC network representatives took place, centred on the use of WIPO’s specialised patent databases. Special attention was given to patent-conjuncture studies, particularly the regulatory documents DSTU 3574 and DSTU 3575. The workshop participants also discussed the concept of the patent landscape and received valuable guidance from WIPO on their development.
An important part of the event was the exploration of free patent landscapes available on the WIPO portal, presented across various sectors. Participants had the opportunity to form a list of inquiries and questions, facilitating more effective interaction among TISC network representatives. Moreover, an analysis of information regarding the conducted patent studies using databases was carried out, contributing significantly to the knowledge development of the participants.
This participation underscores the commitment of the KPDSC department to enhancing the qualifications of its lecturers and strengthening international scientific cooperation. The workshop became a platform for exchanging experiences and identifying new directions in the patent sphere, opening new opportunities for research and development.
