Scientific and pedagogical staff of the department of criminal law and procedure provide scientific consulting services on legal issues at the request of state authorities, local governments, individuals and legal entities.

Scientific conclusions are provided if it is necessary to analyze the actual circumstances that have developed in the activity of the subject, to determine the legal basis of conducting economic activity, or for the purpose of adding to the case materials as an additional source of information in disputed legal relations.

The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department are candidates and doctors of science who have significant practical experience in the field of law. Scientists constantly carry out fundamental, applied, and research work in order to improve their legal skills.

Olena Tymoshenko, a graduate student of the department criminal law and procedure, took part in the student council of the University of Latvia

The Student Council of the University of Latvia organized an event to express full solidarity with the Ukrainian people against brutal Russian aggression. Olena Tymoshenko, a graduate student of the criminal law and procedure department, took part in the meeting, which was focused on the exchange of young people’s thoughts on the situation in Ukraine, informal discussions, and board games. As part of this meeting, graduate students and students were able to feel the friendliness and support of the Latvian people, as well as the opportunity to meet compatriots.

PARTICIPATION OF THE INTERN TEACHER OF THE CRIMINAL LAW AND PROCEDURE DEPARTMENT IN THE CHANCE FOR SCIENCE CONFERENCE 2022

Intern teacher of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure – Degtyar Ruslana took part in the two-day conference “Chance for Science Conference 2022”, which was held on September 8-9, 2022.

The conference was held with the aim of the participation of students, researchers and scientists who suffered from the war in Ukraine, in order to obtain the possibility of financing their scientific research in Germany.

Participants had the opportunity to present their current research projects, share scientific experience, expand the network of experts in their discipline and connect with scientists from abroad.

THE SLOVAK GOVERNMENT PREPARED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS FOR UKRAINIANS

In accordance with the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic, the Government of Slovakia will provide scholarships to Ukrainians for the 2022/2023 academic year.

The Slovak Republic is one of the first countries that supported Ukraine, namely: it stopped all educational and scientific projects with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Serbia and increased the number of scholarship opportunities for Ukrainian students and teachers.

Applications for the summer semester of the academic year 2022/2023 are accepted until October 31, 2022.

Cooperation with the University of Liverpool

There was an online meeting of scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Criminal Law and Judiciary with the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Justice of the University of Liverpool, Director of the Department of International Law and Human Rights, Editor-in-Chief of the European Convention on Human Rights Law Review Kostyantyn Dzegtsiarov. At this meeting, issues related to future joint cooperation in the field of education were discussed. In particular, regarding the access of students of the “Intellectual Property” educational program to the lecture materials of the University of Liverpool.

Meeting of 3rd year higher education students of the Institute of Law with NABU representatives

On October 21, 2021, as part of the implementation of practice-oriented training in the discipline of “Criminology”, namely on the prevention of corruption offenses, a meeting of applicants for higher education 3rd year of the Institute of Law with representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. During the meeting, the issues of NABU activity in the field of counteraction and prevention of corruption crime were discussed.

On November 23, 2021 at the Department of Criminal Law and Judiciary of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law within the study of the discipline “Criminal Procedure Law” employees of the branch of the State Institution “Probation Center” in Sumy region were involved in the lecture.
