📅 On December 3, 2024, as part of the “Civil Safety” course, first-year students specializing in “Law Enforcement Activity” at the Academic and Research Institute of Law attended a lecture on “Providing Pre-Medical First Aid in Cases of Accidents.” The session was conducted by Dr. Yaroslava Khyzhnia, Candidate of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Academic and Research Medical Institute.

Dr. Khyzhnia emphasized the importance of quick and competent actions during emergencies, as they play a crucial role in saving lives and protecting victims’ health. She explained the core principles of providing pre-medical first aid.
Students specializing in “Law Enforcement Activity” gained practical skills in:
- performing artificial respiration;
- conducting external cardiac massage ❤️;
- safely using a defibrillator ⚡;
- stopping bleeding 🩸;
- correctly applying tourniquets.
In addition to the theoretical part, the students had the opportunity to practice these life-saving techniques on a specialized mannequin, including performing resuscitation procedures.
