Within the framework of the international educational project ERASMUS-JMO-2023-MODULE – ERASMUS2027 – 101125350 – “EUEPPDC”: EU Experience in Personal Data Protection in Cyberspace, implemented under the Jean Monnet Module of the Erasmus+ Programme, a textbook has been published by a collective of authors addressing key issues of personal data protection in the digital environment.
The author team, consisting of M. O. Dumchykov, O. S. Maletova, M. S. Utkina, and V. K. Obodiak, conducted a comprehensive study of European data protection standards and the mechanisms of their implementation into the national legal system.
The publication analyzes the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), institutional enforcement mechanisms, and regulatory features in the fields of e-governance, law enforcement, healthcare, and the financial sector.
Particular attention is paid to contemporary challenges of the digital era, including Big Data, blockchain technologies, cybercrime, and cyberterrorism, as well as the development of digital legal awareness and a culture of personal data protection.
The publication of the textbook contributes to the strengthening of academic capacity and the integration of Ukrainian legal scholarship into the European research and educational area.
