Within the framework of the international project 101126485 – PIPRRRIBEUP – ERASMUS-JMO-2023, funded by the European Union, a round table discussion entitled “Protection of Intellectual Property Rights of Researchers and Research Institutions” will be held on 12 June 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
Researchers, academic staff, doctoral students, representatives of higher education institutions and research organizations, intellectual property professionals, and everyone interested in the protection of research outcomes are invited to participate.
During the event, leading experts will discuss current challenges and future prospects for the protection of intellectual property rights in the academic environment. Particular attention will be paid to:
- academic works created in the course of employment and open science;
- the relationship between patent novelty and scientific publications;
- European approaches to intellectual property protection in higher education institutions;
- commercialization of innovations and contemporary IP practices in universities.
The speakers will include leading scholars and practitioners in the field of intellectual property, as well as representatives of research institutions, business organizations, and the professional community.
