A scientific and practical webinar “Legal Synergy as the Basis of National Resilience: How to Bridge Institutional Gaps in Ukraine’s National Security System?” was held at the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Judiciary.

During the event, participants discussed key directions for strengthening Ukraine’s national resilience amid wartime challenges and the transformation of the security system. Particular attention was paid to issues of interagency cooperation, improving legal mechanisms for ensuring national security, and integrating European best practices into the Ukrainian context.

Among the main topics of discussion were the international experience in building national resilience systems, the principle of “not to copy, but to integrate” in developing Ukraine’s model of legal synergy, and the specifics of law enforcement cooperation during pre-trial investigations under martial law.

The event took place within the framework of the scientific project “Institutional Consolidation through Legal Synergy: Ensuring National Security in Crisis Conditions” (state registration number 0125U001542).

The discussion brought together faculty members and invited experts, including Marina Utkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Judiciary, who serves as a project executor. The webinar was moderated by Olga Maletova, the project’s principal investigator.

📍The event became an important platform for academic dialogue and for developing practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of Ukraine’s legal framework for national security.
