Scientific Workshop: Academic and Research Institute of Law Students Explore New Horizons for Research!

On December 11, 2024, the Academic and Research Institute of Law hosted a student scientific workshop organized by the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Procedure in collaboration with the student self-government. The event, held in a hybrid format, brought together students eager to develop their scientific skills.

The speakers of the workshop included:

  • Olha Maletova, Head of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Justice;
  • Mykhailo Dumchykov, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Justice;
  • Artem Kryisko, Student Director of the ARIL.

During the workshop, Olha Maletova provided an in-depth explanation of the key aspects of drafting scientific articles and compiling bibliographies. Her practical advice helped participants understand the essential principles of structuring and properly formatting academic works.

Mykhailo Dumchykov emphasized the role and potential of generative artificial intelligence systems in scientific activities. He also highlighted the ethical aspects of utilizing AI in research, sparking an engaging discussion among the participants.

Artem Kryisko, the Student Director, outlined the fundamental aspects of being a student-researcher, sharing his own experience and inspiring students to actively engage in the institute’s scientific life.

The event’s unique atmosphere fostered interactive engagement and informal communication. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their ideas, get answers to their questions, and exchange experiences over a cup of coffee.
