On 24 April 2025, Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs hosted a scientific and practical roundtable entitled “Identifying Corruption Risks in the Activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs During Martial Law and the Post-War Recovery of Ukraine.” The event was organised on the initiative of the Anti-Corruption Prevention Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Among the invited experts was Olha Maletova, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Judiciary . In her presentation titled “Corruption in the Context of Post-War Reconstruction: An Optimal Counteraction Model,” she emphasised the need to adapt anti-corruption strategies to the new challenges facing the state amid large-scale infrastructure reconstruction, institutional recovery, and the strengthening of the rule of law.
Olha Serhiivna stressed that effective anti-corruption efforts in the post-war period must be based on the synergy between state policy, public oversight, and the development of institutional integrity, with particular attention to the transparency of public procurement procedures and the application of international best practices.
The event brought together representatives of the High Anti-Corruption Court, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Defence Integrity Centre of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, the EU Advisory Mission, as well as scholars from leading higher education institutions.
