n April 10, 2025, Olha Maletova, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure at the Educational and Research Institute of Law, Sumy State University, took part in a regional seminar titled “The Current State of the Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Ukraine: Challenges and Prospects”, organized by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA).
The event began with an interactive Q&A session featuring leading representatives of the Agency: Olena Yeremenko, Deputy Head of NAQA; Oleksandr Khymenko, Head of the Secretariat; Oksana Trebenko, Head of the Analytical and Training Support Department; and Maksym Folomiiev, Head of the Department for Public Relations and International Cooperation.
Participants discussed pressing issues and emerging trends in the development of internal quality assurance systems within higher education institutions, emphasizing the vital role played by departments and structural units in these processes. Olha Maletova actively contributed to the professional discussions, highlighting effective practices for building internal mechanisms to ensure the quality of educational activities, and stressing the importance of involving the academic community in self-assessment processes and the improvement of study programs.
Participation in the seminar contributed to strengthening cooperation among higher education representatives from different regions of Ukraine, enhancing partnerships with NAQA, and promoting the exchange of best practices in advancing the quality of higher education in Ukraine.
