Employees of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure – Ruslana DEGTYAR and Yevgenia LYTVYNENKO visited the 19th All-Ukrainian Law School on Judiciary in Conditions of War, which was held on the basis of the European University in Kyiv, on November 18.
On November 16, 2023, the head of the Criminal Law and Procedure Department Olga Bondarenko took part in a joint online discussion between JustTalk and the Center Dnistryanskyi on the topic “Artificial intelligence and advocacy: opportunities, risks and limits of application”.
On November 6, 2023, with the aim of wider involvement of practicing professionals, experts in conducting seminars, master classes within the educational program “Intellectual Property”, an open lecture was held by a doctor of legal sciences, a practicing lawyer, a participant in international projects in the field of intellectual property, head of the Department of the Scientific Research Institute of Intellectual Property property of the Anna ŠTEFAN National Academy of Legal Sciences on the topic “Principles of Copyright”.
Teacher-trainee of the KPDS Department Ruslana DEGTYAR took part in the Media Marathon “Equality in Politics and Inclusive Restoration” held on October 24-25 at the initiative of the National Democratic Institute (NDI). The event is organized to highlight the key tools and obstacles that affect the achievement of gender equality and inclusive recovery. The advantages of gender-based governance were considered, as well as the challenges arising from Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
The teachers of the CPDS department and the recipients of the OP “Intellectual property” took part in the work of the “IP&I management” forum (📆 October 13-14, 2023), which was held with the support of IHub of the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation.
On October 14, 2022, the teachers of the Criminal Law and Procedure Department Olga Bondarenko and Dmytro Maletov took part in the work of the Forum of Young Lawyers of Ukraine. As part of the work of the forum, three panel discussions were held regarding judicial proceedings in conditions of war, prospects for the development of legal business, and features of protecting business from modern threats. Among the speakers were judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine, the High Qualification Commission of Judges, the Office of the General Prosecutor, managing partners of law firms.

On September 25, a lecture-discussion on the discipline “legal regulation of innovative technologies” with a representative of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine took place within the framework of the certified program “Information Technology Law” of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Judiciary. Within the framework of the topic “Regulatory and legal regulation of cyberspace”, a representative of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine emphasized the main threats to our state in the framework of cyberspace. Determined which socially dangerous acts in cyberspace are crimes and what punishment can be applied to the person who committed them. In addition, as part of the popularization of the “Mriya” electronic platform, a representative of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine spoke about the main points of working with this platform. Students took an active part in discussing the debatable points of the lecture.
On September 26, 2023, the head of the Department Olga BONDARENKO took part in the panel discussion “Digital trends and anti-corruption reforms in the field of public administration” within the VII International Legal Forum.
