On October 15, 2024, Yevheniia Lytvynenko, Assistant of the Department of Criminal Law and Justice, took part in an exceptionally informative online event organized by the Head Office of the TISC IP Office. This was the second module of the training course titled “CopyrightPro: Services Related to Copyright,” which is part of a larger program, “TISC.Services: Procedures and Mechanisms for Providing Services in the Field of Intellectual Property and Innovation.”
The event proved to be highly informative and valuable for all members of the TISC network. The speakers, including Olena Ihnatyeva, Head of the Department for the Development of Copyright and Related Rights of the IP Office, Yuliia Yehorova, intellectual property lawyer, expert at Diia.Business, mentor at Projector, and author of a legal blog on Instagram, and Bohdan Kuzmovych, co-founder of the law firm “RED LAWYERS,” with 6 years of experience in intellectual property and expertise in legal support for Ukrainian showbiz stars, particularly in contract development, thoroughly discussed key practical issues of copyright protection and the drafting of copyright agreements. Particularly valuable were the practical tips on copyright registration and calculating copyright royalties.
Participants also gained a deep understanding of the specifics of distributing copyright in employment relationships. This training was an important step towards enhancing knowledge of copyright protection mechanisms and provided insight into common mistakes when drafting copyright agreements. The event equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly prove useful in their professional activities.
