On 22 January 2025, Associate Professor of the Department of Law, Kateryna Yanishevska, participated as a jury member in the third regional stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Law Olympiad.
The tasks proposed for the participants aimed to assess their level of legal competence, particularly their ability to analyse and systematise legal information; identify and apply legal concepts and terms; and express their own judgments, operating with such categories as law, democracy, freedom, duty, human rights, the rule of law, and legal personality. Participants were also tasked with identifying similarities and differences, as well as solving legal cases (situational tasks).
While completing the Olympiad’s tasks, students demonstrated their knowledge of the theory of state and law, as well as the basics of constitutional, civil, family, and criminal law.
As a result of the competition, 11 winners were identified: nine students from Year 9 and two students from Year 10.
