On November 23, 2021 at the Department of Criminal Law and Judiciary of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law within the study of the discipline “Criminal Procedure Law” employees of the branch of the State Institution “Probation Center” in Sumy region were involved in the lecture. Mykola Fedorovych Hrychkovsky and Ihor Viktorovych Lupiyov, Senior Inspector, Major of the Internal Service.
Lesson topic: Powers of the probation body. Preparation of a pre-trial report by the authorized body on probation. The lecture was attended by third-year students majoring in Law. Lecturer Ph.D., Associate Professor Ilchenko Alexander Vasilyevich.
During the lecture, the head of the branch of the State Institution “Probation Center” in Sumy region Hrychkovsky Mykola Fedorovych spoke about the principles, objectives and content of probation, the grounds for probation, the legal status of probation. Mykola Fedorovych paid special attention to the practical activities of the probation body, namely pre-trial probation, the preparation by the probation body of a pre-trial report on the accused at the request of the court, the activities of probation volunteers and the response of probation bodies to violations by convicts.
At the end of the lecture there was a discussion in which the participants of the lecture took an active part.
