On 16 December 2025, at the initiative of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Academic and Research Institute of Law of Sumy State University, a practice-oriented lecture entitled “Forensic Experts at a Crime Scene: How It Works in Reality” was held for students of the “Law Enforcement Activity” educational programme.
During the event, specialists from the National Police and the MIA Expert Service introduced students to real-life procedures of forensic work at a crime scene, including the detection, documentation and collection of traces, as well as the use of modern forensic equipment in pre-trial investigations.
The lecture had a strong practical focus and contributed to the development of professional competencies of future law enforcement professionals, enhancing their understanding of the role of forensic science in effective criminal investigations.
