On April 9, 2025, students of the Law Enforcement Activity educational program had the opportunity to attend an open lecture entitled “Peculiarities of Investigating War Crimes: Practical Experience for Future Law Enforcement Officers”, delivered by representatives of the investigative unit of the Security Service of Ukraine in Sumy Region.
Practitioners shared real-life case studies, highlighted the specific features of classifying war crimes, outlined procedures for collecting evidence, and discussed the nuances of documenting such evidence in accordance with international legal standards. The session was marked by lively student engagement and active discussion.
The event served as an important platform for the professional development of students, allowing them to immerse themselves in the complex yet highly relevant domain of wartime jurisprudence and to better prepare for the challenges faced by contemporary law enforcement professionals.
