Students of general secondary and extracurricular education institutions, listeners of the Sumy Territorial Branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, visited the Academic and Research Institute of Law as part of the initiative “Regional Hackathon ‘Science in Action’.”
The career guidance event included an engaging “Detective Quest: Tracing the Crime,” organized by Mykhailo Dumchykov, a representative of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines and Justice, in collaboration with the student directorate of the institute. The quest aimed to familiarize prospective applicants with the law enforcement profession and the features of the specialty 262 “Law Enforcement Activity.”
The Detective Quest consisted of two stages. The first stage involved investigating the scene of a criminal offense. Under the guidance of ARIL students, participants collected evidence, documented handprints, and conducted their analysis. The second stage focused on conducting fingerprint examinations, where participants learned to create fingerprint cards and explored the practical aspects of forensic expertise.
The activities genuinely captivated the attendees, actively asked questions, discussed results, and expressed their enthusiasm for further exploration of this field.
ARIL students also gained valuable experience by participating in the event and sharing their knowledge with prospective applicants.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined the event! We are confident that participating in such activities will foster professional interest in the specialty “Law Enforcement Activity.”
We look forward to welcoming you as students of the Academic and Research Institute of Law!
